Miss Yellow...Akikaze

Description

For =Beck-Carter's J-Pop girl band, I present Miss Yellow, also known as Akikaze.

Name: Akikaze ("Autumn Wind")
Nickname: Aki-chan
Nationality: Japanese
Age: 17
Hair Color: Yellow
Eye Color: Grey-blue
Height: 4'11" (without heels); around 5'3" to 5'5" (with heels, depending on the height of heel, of course...usually between four to six inches)
Vocal Range: High to medium-high (she *can* sing operatically...so beware XD)
Hobbies: Dressing up, collecting platform heels, fortune telling (w/ tarot cards, though she's always interested in new methods), forcing others into the CUTEST COSTUMES EVER, ZOMG!...and blogging online.
Personality: Aki-chan is very hyper and optimistic, and suffers from an inability to say no to people. She will try to do twenty things at once in order to make everyone around her happy. Despite her apparent need for other's happiness, she habitually ignores the protests/screaming of her bandmates as she forces them to dress up in whatever she believes they'd look cute in, seemingly self-assured that "what makes Aki-chan happy makes my friends happy too!" She has a habit of referring to herself in the third person...in Japanese, she speaks in "super-feminine" style which does more or less the same thing. However cute she appears on the outside, she is usually scheming something. She enjoys giving make-overs and playing matchmaker. Likely known as the busybody of the group.

Nifty. Your proportions need a little work (mainly the hands and legs... and torso but not so much on the torso. Try spending a little more time paying attention to detail too. I know you can do better than that. The hands where a good try. Look for refrences though. you just thought of those and didn't bother but maybe glancing at a efrence of hands in that position. The most important part about drawing is to make it look believeable, even if it is an exaggerated cartoon character. always always always have refrences. Pay a little more attention to contriposto though. of the hips are leaning at that dramatic of an angle the shoulders should counter balance, even in three fourths view that she's in. It's a very good try though. You where tacking a pretty complex pose and pulled it off pretty well. just make sure you devote the amount of time it needs to do it well.

if she is a troublemaker, too, then she would really do better wearing something orange or at least warm coloured for a vibrant energetic look.

One last thing. I'm ggiving you good and thoughtful critique, not passing jusdgement. Instead of getting all worked up thinking i'm trying to put you down, stop... and actually consider it Shmeterling. ^_^
